HBIA Staffing Update

Your HBIA Board is pleased to announce that we have hired Lee Bowden as our new Manager of Marketing & Administration. Lee has the technical proficiency and experience needed to build on the work done to date and to continue to move us forward. Lee, having worked for both Hockey Canada and the Ontario Hockey Federation has worked on challenging projects where her appreciation for small communities and facilitating results by working with many stakeholders makes her an ideal person for the HBIA role. We look forward to working with Lee. She starts on Wednesday, May 7th so expect a visit as we introduce her to the HBIA community.

We also want to thank Cheryl Carty for the work she has done over the last year. Her independent, "lets get things done" work style and positive attitude has meant a great deal to the HBIA team. Her technical expertise and advertising background as well as her never ending creativity has helped us raise our profile and professionalism to a new level. We hated losing Cheryl but it is in an amazing development as she is now working with Jeannie Maidens in the Municipality's Parks and Recreations department. Cheryl will be working on events so she is simply sitting on the other side of the table, so to speak. So we have both Cheryl and Lee working to promote our beautiful downtown. This is so exciting and I hope you join me in wishing both Lee and Cheryl well in their new roles.
