Making a Splash this Ganny Weekend!
Share
Ganny Weekend is just under a month away, April 11-13, and we want our to flood the downtown with activity! We've got a bunch of activities lined up and want all of our HBIA members to take part in making this Port Hope tradition a huge success.
HBIA Ganny Weekend Activities
HBIA in Gannyville
The HBIA will be hanging out riverside, handing out maps/directories and encouraging visitors to head downtown after the Float your Fanny race (April 12). Included with the directory will be a ballot that must be dropped off at an HBIA establishment in order to enter a free draw for a fabulous prize. If you have any business brochures or pamphlets you'd like us to have at our tent, please send us an email at HBIA@downtownporthope.com.
Feel the Flood!
We're challenging every business to a friendly competition to bring some flood flair to our downtown. Go all out with river and flood related decor - think water, flood markers, life jackets, crazy crafts, you name it! Just keep it river-related and local.
Submit Your Entry:
Take a photo of your decorated business and tag @porthopeHBIA on Instagram to enter the competition
Deadline: Make sure everything’s in place and tagged by April 8. Judging will take place April 9-11.
Game On!
We hear there are a few businesses that are challenging each other with their own crafts in the race (pssst, Ganaraska Brewery, Beamish...and maybe even the Goose?) Want in on the bragging rights? Register a craft today!
Fanny Photo Fun
The HBIA will be turning up the energy at the John St. Linger Zone on Saturday, April 12. We’ll have the local business Craft submissions available for photo ops after the race, plus a DJ and some tasty treats to keep the vibes going all day long.
